Voices, guitar and cello to bring the atmospheres of the American Badlands to the Dolomites

Hiking during I Suoni delle Dolomiti is always a special experience: the 2024 edition of the festival will build a bridge between the mountains of Trentino and the American badlands, through the songs of artists such as Dylan, Springsteen and Johnny Cash, brought to life by Pietro Brunello on vocals and guitar, Alessandro ‘Asso’ Stefana on guitar and Mario Brunello on the cello. Spread across a number of stages, the route goes through the rocky heart of the Pale di San Martino, which inspired the Bastiani Fortress in writer Dino Buzzati’s “The Tartar Steppe”. It forges a connection between the high-altitude landscapes and the vast spaces dotted with tiny settlements that are home to the characters in songs by legendary names in American music.
